    Rustic, original and full of vintage charm, early 20th century wooden printer’s cabinet features 18 drawers with dual metal cupholder pulls and label holders.   • Vintage Bussoz French Foosball Table

    ,

    Fantastic, mid-century era foosball table, or “babyfoot” as they are called in France. This table was housed in the same space for over 60 years, and has charming, rough and tumble evidence of many a game. Four corner ashtrays are stamped “Bussoz, 75 Rue de Clignacourt, Paris, 18.” The players are hand painted aluminum, the goals are stainless steel. All wood and paint are in their original well worn condition, complete with someone’s initials scraped on a corner.  Two new bevelled wood baseboards have been replaced on the sides of the goals and the leather playing field was recently replaced. This is a great piece for the collector of mid 20th century game tables, and a great statement piece. Measures 38″ overall width, 59 1/2″ long, 36 1/2″ overall height.

    Slightly diminutive in scale, this pair of side chairs combines a clean, Scandinavian line with a curvy French flair. Light colored oak, upholstered in an oatmeal colored chenille, highlighted with mushroom colored piping and bronze studs along the back perimeter. Tapered legs add a feminine touch.   • Jost Hot Air Fan circa 1902

    ,

    Very rare, Jost hot air fan from Bombay, India circa 1902. Invented in Germany and later manufactured and distributed in India. Gorgeous craftsmanship, both delicate and structural, featuring brass blades and a wrought iron cage. These fans were powered by a Stirling engine, fueled by kerosene, which in turn powered the blades to rotate and circulate the air. For architectural use only, please note this is the cage body and blade assembly only, without the kerosene housing unit.  A beautiful example of form and function, and truly amazing design from a bygone era. Measures approximately 39″ high and 13″ diameter at the bottom, blade unit measures 19″ diameter.

  • Barrister’s Steel Trunk

    If trunks could talk, we'd love to know what was kept in this one. Circa 1930's, black steel with original stenciled labeling of the owner, one “J.M Paterson, Esq. Barrister-at-Law.” The colorful Queen's crown and “Queen's Bench” are emblazoned on the top of the lid. The inside is a vivid, cobalt blue. Handles on both sides, naturally distressed and charmingly scuffed from age and use. There is a lock, but no key. Measures 27″ wide by 14″ deep by 9 1/2″ high.

    A wonderful bit of history, Royal Navy steel trunk from 1939. Original labeling, stenciled on the front reads Glyn, Mills & Co. Official Navy Agents. Charming illustrations of anchors and rope adorn the top of the lid. Interior raised stamp and logo from the manufacturer reads C. Eastcate & Son, Ltd., Birmingham. Handles on the sides, there is a lock but no key. Naturally distressed from age and use. Measures 24″ wide, 14″ deep and 8″ high.

  • L’Odeon Theatre Steel Trunk

    ,

    Enter stage left! A charming bit of history and great souvenir circa 1930’s. Used for storage and cartage at the world famous Theatre L’Odeon in Paris, which was opened in 1782, this black steel trunk is labeled “T.H. National de L’Odeon” on the lid in original gold stenciling and “Second Theatre Francais” on the front. A cup pull handle on the lid helps to open, heavy duty handles on the sides for easy carrying. There is a lock, but no key.  Naturally distressed from age and use. Measures 14″ wide by 9″ deep and 5 1/2″ high.
